What to Wear / Yes, there's a theme!

So we've been receiving a lot of questions around the save the dates.

Yes, there is a theme.

Yes, you can dress for the theme.

No, you don't have to if you don't want to.

Yes, it'd be totally rad if you did.

No, you shouldn't rush right out and buy a battle axe. That doesn't really fit the theme. Cutlass, yes. Battle axe, no. We're happy to answer these kinds of questions, so go ahead and ping us here, on the phone, or by email. Or bug some of the lovely folks we have helping us out, like our parents or our sisters. We try to keep them in the loop too.

The Theme

The theme is "19th Century Nautical." Think Horatio Hornblower.
Isn't he dashing?
What an excellent coat he has! And I wish I had that cravat!

I'm also a fan of Russel Crowe in Master and Commander

Looking moody on a rock

Winning. Against the French and Fashion.

Clothes?

So ya, that's the basic idea. For you land lubbers, you can go with Mr. Darcy and Jane Austen, Regency, etc.

Sassy cravat is optional.

You can also do something Steam Punky and Victorian. We won't judge. Just remember the no-battle-axe rule! LoL.

Steam pistols at dawn!

Just remember to have fun and be happy :) Also remember that October in Vermont - the weather can do anything! Be prepared :) If you don't want to dress up, no worries. But Jae and I will definitely be rocking something goofy classy. Feel free to join us as much or as little as you like in this costuming adventure!
